What are your rates?

Clients typically invest between $1,500 and $5,000 for live music services, depending on the scope of their event. After a short consultation, I’ll provide a custom quote that reflects your specific needs and ensures the perfect musical experience for your celebration.
What types of music do you play?
Derek loves playing all different genres of music and songs, but will always play them in a style that is authentic, soulful, and elegant. Please see the showcase videos for samples.
Will Derek provide sound equipment?
It depends on the specific arrangements for your event. In some cases, Derek will provide his own sound equipment, while in other cases, the equipment will be provided. We will work with you to determine the best arrangement for your event.
Can I request specific songs or pieces to be performed?
Absolutely! Derek is always happy to accommodate special song requests whenever possible. If there’s a meaningful song you’d like performed, please let him know in advance so there’s enough time to prepare and make it sound perfect for your moment.

Can the live music be performed indoors or outdoors?

The role of live music in your event is completely up to you. Derek can provide background music or be the main attraction of the event. He will directly work with you to determine the best musical situation for your event. With over 25 years of performing, he is an expert at reading the crowd!
