Derek Stroker: A Soulful Storyteller

Derek believes in making soulful music that brings people together, despite their differences. In 2010 he toured with major recording artists, had several songs featured on network television, and had an album distribution deal with Best Buy. Lightning 100, Nashville’s favorite radio station, voted Derek as the #2 Best Local Artist out of thousands of talented musicians.

Derek has a diverse discography spanning 20 years. His albums, ‘Rise and Shine’ (2009) and ‘Love & Colour’ (2013), take you on a musical journey of reggae rhythms and heartfelt pop ballads. There’s something for every music lover to discover.

After a decade in the corporate world, Derek decided to come back to music full-time in November 2022. “I’ve never felt so inspired yet devastated,” he shares. “Now more than ever people need music that reflects love, honesty, and hope.”

Derek is now a devoted husband and father with a fresh perspective on life. He is quickly becoming an artist to watch. In 2023 Derek released ‘Outta My Mind.’ It’s a love song for anyone who appreciates soulful, stripped-down music. Other songs include ‘This Island’ and ‘Atmosphere’ which blends R&B, soul, and pop music.

Inspired by current events and artists like John Legend, John Mayer, and The Beatles, Derek is set to release multiple songs and visuals this year. He hopes his music can be a reflection of our time and a testament to music’s power to inspire, heal, and unite.
